If you have ever been called a; Queer, Faggot, Dyke, Homo or any other derogatory name by some angry judgmental self-righteous busy body, consider yourself to be lucky.

You may be wondering if you actually read that last statement.  Now that you may have reread it you may be  wondering what it means and why it appears on this page on the Ascension House website.  In fact your personal experiences may have made you think that you are anything but lucky, maybe even cursed to be born in the GLBT community.  It certainly hasn't been a cakewalk.

Here's the good news; Lesbians, Gay Men, Bi-Sexuals, and Transgender Individuals aren't necessarily more evolved or closer to Ascension than the majority of Humankind, but they are closer to the Matrix of Energies which are the basis of Magickal Operancy and underlie the Sacred Sciences.  WOW!

Yes, my Gay, Lesbian, Bi, or Tranny friends you will find it easier to become a Magus (or any other name for Operant) than those people who are cursing you and calling you names!  In fact, one of the reasons for their hostility, whether they are aware of it or not, is their perception of your native Energy State.

In many Naturalistic Cultures, where Shamans are revered and Spirit Doctors hold high position, those individuals are often Gay, Lesbian, Bi, or Transgender.  In many ancient societies, the innermost core of the Priesthood/Priestesshood were often the above and the highest ranks were reserved for Hermaphrodites.  Power resides within those Paths trod by these special individuals.

Ascension House does not judge anyone.  We extend our arms to embrace all.  We never discriminate against those disadvantaged individuals who are born straight.  Our policies are affirmative toward all classes, races, genders, sexual orientations or/and preferences, and ages.  We provide instruction to all.  The Academy of Magi and The Magickal Lodge are only concerned with Intention and the individual Aspirant's commitment to find a place amongst us in the Great Work of the Ages.

It says in our Manual of Initiation for the First Grade of Adepts;

"We are blessed and honored to receive this boon, at this time, so that we may be in service in the great Mission of our Times.  That mission is to aid Humankind in it’s struggle to relearn that Divine Wisdom and Truth which we have forgotten.  We the Teachers, Masters, and Officers of this School; are dedicated to serving the Light by ministering to our Human brethren, who have strayed from the Love and Healing Energies, of the Light and are in great need.  From this will come a healing for all; Peoples, Nations, and finally our Great Mother; the Earth.

This mission of Healing is the core of this manifestation of the Great En Sofic Ray of Archangel Raphael.  It is this, Healing that will harbinger an Age of Love and Joy.  When we speak of Healing, we speak of full and complete Healing.  This is the Healing of the body, the mind, the soul and of all relationships; with others and with ourselves.
